Learning Goal: Evaluate the notion that IQ is what defines a person's intelligence.
Questions About IQ
Before we explore our own IQ lets ask questions that will help us determine whether or not someone's IQ defines their intelligence. Remember the steps to asking good questions that we defined last time.
Know what you are trying to learn with your question.
Determine what kind of question you need to ask.
Word your question clearly. (Does this question make sense to other people?)
Ask your question to the right source.
Reflect on the answer that you got from the question and ask more questions.
Our Own IQ
Let's try to determine whether IQ is what defines someone's intelligence through testing our own IQ and then having a conversation about the results. Below you will find an IQ test that I would like you all to take. Good luck!
Now that we have explored IQ further, lets look back on our questions. We will do 2 things: First we will see if we can answer any of these questions now; and second we will determine if these questions are good and clear or if we should change them in some way to make them more clear and useful.
