Learning Goal: Students will evaluate the importance of creativity and teamwork.
Hook: Are You the Chosen One??
Look under your desk. If there is a sticky note that says you are the chosen one, you have reach the epitome of success in life!! Congratulations! You can quit school and be a star forever!!!
Just kidding - this means you have the power to create the Sacred Lego Structure we will staring at in wonder today. If you do not want to be the person to build the structure, you have to power to bestow this greatness on another of your fellow classmates.
As the chosen one, your task is to create a Lego structure that is the most amazing thing ever.
Replicating the Glorious Art
As a class, as a form of gratitude and worship, we will be working in small teams to replicate the structure. Here are the rules:
You must create as close to an exact replica as possible to the original structure. (This means using the same amount of Lego pieces and attempting to match the color.)
Only one person from your team may go up at a time to look at the original and as a team you may only look at the original a maximum of 4 times.
All members of the team must work together.
You may not touch the sacred Lego structure and if you are the one gazing upon it, you may not be the one to try to reconstruct it in your group after.

Reflection on Your Work
On a piece of paper, please tell me:
What was challenging about working in a team?
What worked well about working in a team?
Were some people in your group more creative than others? Do you think this makes them more intelligent?
Why do you think natural roles emerged for each person in your group?
What did you learn about yourself from this activity?
